Can anyone recommend a link or offer some advice as to what to look for when JD's are breeding or courting?

I just introduced my male JD with a female in a species only tank. The female had been in there for about 2 days before adding the male.

Instantly they paired up and began following each other around. I wathced them for about 30 minutes and saw a constant buddying up of the two. The female tended to lead the male to other parts of the tank and the male quickly followed. I also noticed the female was circling the male at times and then swimming very close to him and brush up against him. I also saw an occasional rapid shaking of the tail by the female.

The male is about 1 1/2 inches longer than the female and quite a bit taller than her. The male is about 5 inches and the female around 3, but the male is obviously the bigger of the two.

I would find it very odd that the two would exhibit courting rituals instantly, so Im not getting my hopes up yet.

I just really want to know what to look for when they are about to do their thing, or some obvious signs that the two are compatable.
