Oto behavior?

Hi all, I've recently added 5 otos to my home tank. Is it normal for them to be active all the time, chasing each other and playing around? They don't seem to be stressed, but they are apparently in love with my thermometer, circling it constantly. During the day, they settle down, but are still very active. In fact, they are the most active fish in my tank. Is that normal?

Yeah, that's normal. One of the great things about otos are that they are diurnal and one of the most active loricaids I know of.

They're fun little guys, aren't they?
