I had a rock beauty angel die on Saturday now I find my clown what is going on I tested my water everything is fine. Help anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Symptoms? Color/behavior changes? Parameters? Honestly, the rock beauty is not a surprise. They are obligate feeders on sponges and very, very challenging to keep alive. What type of clown is this?

a very small nemo clown rapid twitching a couple days ago nothing in the last day or so saltity 1.023 temp 79 nitrate 0 amnonia 0 alkilinity 12.6 ph 8.1 Been treating for ich on friday put in for secondary infection

Ahh, sorry to hear of you trouble, frustrating for sure...
Regarding your last post from 2/13 on "twitching," did you do as I suggested and make a partial water change? Be advised, copper has certain benefits but can reak havok with your bio filter, overdoses are common... as I said before, forget the Rock Beauty; it was a poor choice, doomed before you bought it... On the other hand, Clown loss is cause for concern; look CLOSELY at remaining specimens for any signs of ich/stress/damage, etc. dilution would be a good thing here... do you practice/maintain quarantine? Move any suspect animals there if possible. If you haven't in the past, please invest in a basic QT system and use it; essential to your long term success in the hobby.

Hi FloridaBoy this morning another clown was died. Yes I did a 25% water change yesterday. I am not using cooper in the tank because I have shrimp and snails that are doing great. I kept this clown to really look at and I see nothing it looks perfect. Yesterday It was doing the same thing that the other clown and rock beauty was doing twitch and hiding.I have a QT tank right now I have a naso in it. He was just brought 2 weeks ago. I only have a yellow tang and a blue tang in my tank right now. If something happens to the last two I don't know if I can restock I can't keep seeing these fish die.

Have you checked for voltage leaking? My whole tank was wiped out from a voltage leak a couple of yrs. ago. Not enough for me to feel it but obviously the fish did.

someone else told me to do this by sticking a finger in with a cut. I didn't feel anything. How else should I check it with just a volage meter?

Twitching

I recently had a similar problem when acclimating fish to my tank. The place that I get all my fish and supplies said that the twitching can be caused by fish having a stroke but it should not be a transferable condition or a result of water quality. Most likely caused by stress of being transfered and introduced to a new environment. When I called them about it they told me I could return the fish that is twitching and get a new one, talk to your people and see if they will help you out.
