I took the 6 Silver Dollars back to the LFS today because they seemed to be stressing out the Black and the Marble angels. I bought 2 more Angels which are the same size about 2.5 inch. The 2 Gold Veils have been in the tank for 8 hours and the Black Lace is constantly chasing and ramming the Golds in their sides and eyes.

Is the Black just establishing his dominance or is he really trying to hurt/kill the Golds? He never chases the Marble.

Angels are territorial, and from the black angel's point of view there are now two unwanted intruders in 'his' space. It may help to rearrange the tank, to break up established territories, but I'd keep an eye on things - you may have to remove or separate some of the fish.

That's too many angels in that 55g, especially if there's a pair. The marble is probably his mate and adding the other two is just asking for two dead angels. Remove them and put things back the way they were before, you probably have a pair. If that's the case you'll want to give the pair at least the entire tank without competition.

I just put in the tank divider for tonight and will watch them tomorrow to see if things cool down.

I did rearange the decor, in case it's just a territory thing and not mated pair issue. I don't have another tank suitable for the other two so I might be taking them back.
