Pleco Fins deteriorating

I have 2 plecos...both about 5" long at the moment. Seems as if the tail fins on both of them are deteriorating. Does anyone know anything about this condition and how it can be treated?

What is the size of your tank and what are the water parameters right now? Also, have you looked on the internet for fin rot?
