If you want to go for a drive, Charlies in Pekin Il is good.
Pekin is down just southeast of Peoria.

Living Seas Aquarium is great for fish, but crummy for plants. the best place for plants would be Old Town Aquarium. its pricey, and bad parking, but it has a great selection. check it out at www.oldtownaquarium.com
