I recently bought a large pleco and it has not eaten in 2 weeks. it just stays in the exact same place oon the glass and gets skinnyer and skinnyer. I have tries to give it algea wafers but my jewels eat them. I also put a peice of zuccinii in there but it just rotted.

My freind tells me I should try frozen brine shrimp, but I thought that plecos were vegatarians.

Any help would be appriciated.Thanks

Larger commons move onto meatier foods than the juveniles. My large chocolate will eat just about anything I offer him, including algae wafers and veggies, but he really prefers the meatier foods.

MY pleco (Juvenile) also prefers shrimp and blood worms. Try giving him some meaty stuff and as he gets used to you mix it up, and balance it out.

Thanks all. I bought a bag of frozen brineshimp at my LFS and I stuck a piece of it to the glass while it was frozen and the pleco got off his usual spot fast and stuck right to it.

Thanks agian.

Have you all ever seen a Green Phantom pleco? My LFS has one. It is dark green with brighter green spots. ! inch long for $80.

I will try to take a pic of it next time.
