i have 3 preg. female guppies in one tank, i want to save all the fry how would i go about doing this? i was thinking of building a box out of net that is too small for the adults go through but will let the fry in,

the females will not be in the box they will be outside of it in the tank. i will remove them *** soon as they are done givving birth

any suggestions for saving the fry from the mom and the other moms in the tank?

Well, if you're planning on being there when the mothers birth the fry, why not just set up a growout tank?

The least stressful method of saving livebearer fry IME is using plants for the fry to hide in. As long as there are plenty of bushy plants (either real or plastic) for fry to hide in, they'll survive. Making sure mom is well fed doesn't hurt either :D
Nets and boxes can be really stressful for moms - if they're moved too close to their birthing date they may even abort the fry.

i was thinking of using something like this

I wouldn't, as Blink pointed out, nets are iffy and can lead to stillborn fish. Plantng the tank is a great idea. What are you saving the babies for anyway?

I'm not sure the lfs will buy them, but you can always ask. Depends on the store. With my Platy fry I just catch them after they are born with two nets, one net to lead them into the other. With enough plants in the tank they will be able to hide from the others and grow up on their own.

i was planning to raise the fry for a month and then selling them to the lfs. but for that to happen they need to survive there birth LOL
