ok so for two days my male guppie has been chasing arround my female. Trying very unsuccessfully to mate. today i added two mollies from the lfs and now the male mollie is chasing the female guppie also (trying to mate) is it even possable for these to interbreed? will anything come of it? or should i just not worry about it and let them be
any input at all would be welcome

I dont think its possible to mate the 2...but I wouldnt worry about it. The males will harass females constantly but that is just the way it is.
It is possible for them to breed, but it's highly unlikely to happen.
Male livebearers will often try to mate with anything, including other males.
With two males chasing a single female, you run the risk of getting a very stressed out guppy.
A lot of it depends on the fish. Some female guppies will hold up to a lot of harrassment, and others will grow weak and timid.
After about a year of keeping every kind of livebearer in my tank, and producing lots of fry, I finally got tired of all the chasing, and switched to fish that don't spend every waking minute trying to breed.
But keeping the livebearers was a fun way to learn about fish.
