I had to use **************** to order my puffer fish, but one died. liveaquaria is more dependable, but has choosier stocks of fish and is more expensive.
Yep. I'd definetely wait another month or so before ordering any stock by mail. It's too much of a risk for my tastes. I've been very satisfied with liveaquaria's shipping, it's just that, even with heat packs, who knows what can happen. The box could get lost for a day or so, or it may have to travel through a storm and get delayed. I've heard a couple horror stories recently. My advice would be to wait it out for another few weeks.
If you get them through a reliable seller you shouldn't have to worry about getting dead fish. I live in Maine and have had no problems getting fish shipped by either USPS priority or FedEx. Most good sellers will have a live arrival guarantee as well.
