Just wanted to share a pic of my 6.5" albino (lutino? albino with some black?) tiger oscar. I've had her (it?) since she was about 1.5 - 2". She along with the black tiger oscar are the first oscars I've ever owned.

The orange used to not show up until I started using dishi, now check her out:

Let me know what you think! :)

As you can see I'm using this pic for my avatar, but I photoshoped out the other oscars tail! lol

Beautiful fish..and a very nice picture, too! Parden my ignorance, but what is dishi?

Thank you for the flattering compliment.

Dishi is a color enhancing food pellet that I get from my LFS. I've never seen it anywhere else, but the stuff works great.

My oscar looked white with a lot of black and faint orange, but after a month on dishi, she looks lik this.

Yes, very nice fish. Lutino is correct I do believe from that pic, not Albino.
I saw a absolutely gorgeous albino O at one of my LFS's last week, pity I've only a 75gal right now, planning a 125 gal in near future hopefully.
Here's my Tiger "Allanon" when he was aprox 2", don't have any recent, hes' aprox 7-8" now, and his tankmate, Snow King Pleco "Smaug" who is aprox 14".

He lost that gold and is now red, I tried some pics this morning but their not quality :(

what size tank would you reccommend for one oscar, how bout two oscars?

Generally the absolute minimum for one adult Oscar is a 55gal, BUT!
A 55 gal is only 48x13x20 on average, and a adult Oscar can get 12-15", this leaves very little room to turn around.
Raising a Oscar in cramped quarters often leads to stunted growth, deformities and disposition to diseases such as HITH. The bioload in a 55gal with a adult Oscar is incredibly huge.

I recommend a minimum75gal (48x18x20), for one adult Oscar, that extra five inches makes a huge difference in available swimming room ;) , and it allows you to even think about a tankmate.
A 75gal is the minimum for two adult Oscars.
I however recommend a 90gal or larger for two Oscars.

I currently have a 75gal and I'm planning a 125gal in the near future so my Oscar will not just be healthy but THRIVE!
