Prime supposedly binds ammonia into ammonium which is not as toxic as ammonia, but can and will still be used by the bio-filter. I say suppoosedly only because I don't know that it works for sure, but I do know Prime is one of the most popular products out there, and many folks here seem to be quite impressed with it.
