I have had my 55 gallon salt water set up for over 5 years now. I have been thinking about making it more of a reef tank, still housing a few fish, but adding corals and such. Will I need to cycle my tank all over again? I was thinking I should be fine since the bacteria and everything is all very well set up as it is. I have a Magnun3 350 filter, UV Sterilizer, Protien Skimmer, Corner in tank filter, Tetra Deep air pump, and another extra power head in the tank for extra water circulation. I have normal lighting for now with Power white lights, and I know I will need to upgrade to new lighting. Is there anything else I will need to change or add? Any info would be great!! Thanks.

If you're moving to a reef, you will definitely want live rock. Maybe a deep sand bed, maybe not. What's on the bottom right now?

Your tank sounds pretty well-equipped, maybe overly so for a reef. I don't use any mechanical filtration or UV, just a skimmer, a refugium and lots of circulation.
