What Fluval 404 Media?

:confused: I have a 60 gallon tank with a Fluval 404 filter. (This tank also has an undergravel filter and only 4 fish at the moment)
I use the recommended foam inserts on the side and clean them when necessary, but I am interested in what some others use for media in the other 4 chambers and why?
(The bottom being chamber #1)

In the bottom tray I use filter fiber. This gets the real fine waste that the sponges didn't get. For the rest I use ceramic noodles and Bio Balls. I do this for bio filtration.

I do use a second canister on my large tank for mechanical filtration. For my smaller tanks (60 & 70) I use an AC with 2 sponges for mechanical filtration.
