HI
i have a 20 gal tank and i have 3 watts of lighting per gallon.
The thing is, my light tubes are not reflected, thay just sit on the top of my drip tray.
So what im asking is...when you work out your WPG,are thay based on reflected tubes ?

Generally, yes, because the reflectors do give more light.

THANKS for the advice
Im going to stick some mirrored tiles on the inside of the wooden lid, sometime this week.
does anyone know if the floramat co2 system is any good?

The do sell reflectors separately and they would be more effective than mirrors.

believe it or not the shiny side of aluminum foil makes a good reflector

They do?

I will have to try that! My hood is only painted white for the reflector. Anyone know if that even helps?

BTW, make sure to poke holes in the foil so that heat will able to be able to ventilate.

:) i have bacon foil taped up under my hood at the moment and looking at the gravel as i close the lid,you can really see a difference it makes
