OK so I know this thread gets posted daily "breeding clowns, clown breeding, etc..."
I am beginning to become impatient. I've had two tomato clowns for a year in my 55g. Niether wants to become dominant and take charge so a couple of months ago I added a much larger one. I assumed the larger female would choose a mate of the two smaller ones and they would become a pair. Unfortunately they all just swim around together. No aggression, no mating just frolic. I have no other fish and only a CBS, some hermit crabs and snails, maybe 25lbs of live rock. Is there anything I can do to set the mood or am I to resolve to hurry up and wait?
The female does do a lot of sand stirring in four or five different places throughout the tank and occasionally picks up some shells and moves them but doesn't really seem particulary interested/disinterested in either of the other fish.
Any hints or tips would be appreciated.
Thanks
