Does anyone have any experience with that rare Electric Blue variety of Jack Dempsey from Argentina??

They are the color of the pastel blue aluminum foil that Hershey Kisses come in around Easter, with dark spots sort of like a marine Spotted Grouper - very striking and with a friendly personality like an Oscar. I want to get $ome of them and put them in a tank by themselves.

as far as I've been able to research they are not as hardy/health as the regular JD. They are a naturally occouring color morph. But they are not the strongest and only the strongest will survive in the wild. So jut be prepared to work hard to keep these guys alive. They should be in there own tank, keep it a little warmer 80-84, but just make sure at these temps you have an air stone or enough surface movement. Once they hit 3-4" I've heard that they are just as hardy as any other fish. I've seen then kept with angels and discus and other peaceful cichlids. check out my 2 sigs aquamojo has some nice pictures of them and Jeff at Tangledupincichlids is the provider of these fish to most if not all LFS. They may be a challenge, but so are discus but a well worth of a chalenge IMO. I plan on getting a tank just for these guys one day.
