Is 'malaya' the same thing as Asian amublia???

I want to buy asian ambulia, which is a nice background plant that is not too demanding. My LFS has a plant they labelled "malaya", and it looks bushy, and somewhat like asian ambulia. I've only seen asian ambulias in photos, so I can't really compare to the one at the shop. Are they are same thing?

The only way to know for certain which plant it is would be to ask the employees the Latin name of the plant. Common names are sometimes used incorrectly, used for multiple plants (depending on where you go, you may see two different plants called the same thing), and I swear sometimes people make names up. Keep in mind that plants are often grown in different conditions than our aquariums - IME, some plants may change their appearance drastically after being in a hobbyist's tank for a while because before being shipped they were grown under extremely high light, or emerse. It's hard to rely on appearance and a common name, which is why despite my lousy pronounciation I always ask for things by Latin name :)
