Can anyone who's handy with imaging programs help me out with a small task?

I would like the datestamp on this picture removed/blended so that it is no longer readily visible. (Not only is the datestamp wrong, but it ruins the picture.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

I can give it a go tomorrow at work. Shouldn't take much--what resolution do you want it to look good at?

Umm...lol...I don't know? I'm thinking I might like to have it printed as a larger picture to hang.

Thank you for the help. And don't worry if you don't get to it:)

I probably have the fullsize original still...that would probably be more helpful?

EDIT: I checked and I do have the fullsize original image...would you want that instead?

Yep, having the fill size original to work with will be best. Can you email it?

Kas--that looks pretty good!

Hah! If I had "sad attempts" like those I wouldn't need help! Looks pretty good to me!

OG - I PMed you....

Well, OG is a doll and is also hiding talents from us as a photoshoppy genious:D

It is perfect, OG, thanks! I had the original and your version on two screens, and even flipping directly back and forth, I can't find one little problem with it. Perfection. Thank you very much.

I'll post a picture of it for you in a second kasa.

It had to be resharpened and edited, so this one may look slightly different than the original in some regards (I did it really quick) but here it is...with NO ugly datestamp:)
