Can you keep a pictus catfish with an oscar. I have an oscar that is still small (around 3 inches i believe) and I have a pictus catfish that is around 2 inches. Would I be able to keep them together? I read somewhere about someone that did have a pictus with an oscar. Thanks.

yes you can keep a pictus cat just make sure that the oscar cant eat him though other than that you should be fine

u can keep a pitcus with the oscar I have a few catfish with my oscar he really doesnt bother them but as long as it is small it will not bother it even after the oscar gets bigger u have to let them adapt to each other when they are small

It will ultimately depend on how big your O gets, his temperament and whether he really wants a Pictus snack.
Most people have no problem with these two together but some have been heard to say, "Where'd that #*&%@!*^! Pictus go?" :p

I had the same type of thing going on in my tank. When my O was small he was fine with other fish in the tank. Then as he became bigger than everyone else in the tank he decided that it was his tank and all his tankmates began to disapear.

thanks everyone.
