just started adding photoplex for some of my corals and just thought of something. i have a protien skimmer in my sump is this going to remove all the photoplex out of the water before my corals get any? if so should i stop the skimmer or what? Any help would be appreciated

YOU SHOULD GIVE UP ON THE WHOLE THING AND PUT A BOTTOM FILTER IN;)

Don't worry about it. Both my mushrooms and my leather coral doubled in size the first time I used it. They have stayed that large, but I added it every week. You should also try the chromplex by Kent. It does the same thing as the phytoplex, but also increase color a little bit. ;)

You could turn off your skimmer for an hour or so while feeding the tank. The only thing that comes to mind problem wise is if your skimmer is responsible for a large portion of your flow (this is possible but not likely). Keep an eye on for a while after you turn it back on just to be on the safe side. Remember... Skimmers are great, but there are a lot of people who don't use them at all yet have very successful tanks. hth
