Nano Cube

I have had one of the 12 gallon DX models set up for about 2 1/2 weeks, I really like the tank so far. I did do a couple of modifications to it like upgrading the return pump to a MiniJet 606 and adding a Hydor rotating deflector to the return for random current. I feel like it is a neat little nanotank for a novice or a well seasoned reefkeeper as long as you realize its limitations in regards to what kinds of corals and livestock are compatible with the size tank and lighting. For corals you should be okay with softies, most LPS, polyps, and mushrooms. For fish I wouldn't go more than a couple of fish that grow to no more than 2 inches and don't require alot of swimming space. To give you an idea about how much I have enjoyed this tank already, I just received a Nanocube 6 gallon today. They are alot different than my big tanks (75 and 92 gallon reefs). HTH, Skip

The Nanocube 12 DX will easily handle a pair of firefish and some inverts. Just take you time after you set it up and allow it to complete its cycle before you try adding the fish and inverts. I was able to skip the cycling by getting LR and LS out of my larger tanks so it was already cycled, then I added my livestock slowly to prevent another mini cycle from starting up.
