Ok im pretty sure my tank has ich, all the signs are there. I'm planning on doing a salt bath and raising the temp a lil (its at 78 right now).
Could somone give me a general run down on performing a good salt bath and what effect it may have on my fish/plants?
Also should i use medicine too?

37 gal eclipse, 2 black mollies, 8 zebra danios, 6 black skirt tetras and 1 Ropefish.

ph 7.2 / ammonia 0 / nitrite 0 / nitrate 15ppm

thanx a lot.

Go to the article section of this site and read daveedka's writeup on ich. It will give you all the info you need for successful treatment.

The "article corner" in the "top topics" section near the top of the forum list is where it is found, but here's the link for you.

So am I, sad to say. I'm also doing an experimental treatment without salt seperately from the main tank. I hope it goes well, my fish are much too valuable to me to lose even a few of them.
