I have about 11 of them right now in a 75 gallon and they are about 3-4" long. I've heard from some that this is the max and from others that they can get to 5" or even a tad more... anyone have any big ones? Mine kinda look like this right now:

Also I plan to get a 220 gallon in about a year or a bit less. In the 220 I plan to have about 20 congos, two pairs of large angels and one pair of apistogramma. Is this overcrowding and if not, can an Eheim 2260 handle a 220 with that many fish?

Thanks :)

I have always liked these fish. Four is about the max from what I have seen. Always depends on what people measure as fish. Anubias and congos is a great tank.

Then in that case I think mine are getting about as big as they should get... Cant wait to get the larger tank though and buy another 8-10. A large school in a planted tank should look very nice :)

I love congo tetras, they are such beautiful fish. Its a shame they get so big, makes it difficult to school them. Show us that 220 when its all set up, sounds like its going to be a nice tank.
