How do people like the stainless steel setups?

I think the blue glow is from a night viewing lamp. I think. It looks like a saltwater setup to me. I'd say about 1200.00 new. (canadian dollars) Just for the tank and stand, nothing else..

Do we have to? ;) I agree. Stainless looks fantastic when it is clean and shiny. But, I am a product of inertia and prone to fits of laziness... if I had a stainless steel setup it would look crappy most of the time and my wife would be nagging at me, "We have company for dinner, polish the tanks!" No thanks.

yeah I have a stainless refrig and I know what you mean, but when clean it looks soooo nice..

Stainless is nice, if you dont mind scratches and fingerprints.

The blue light is from actinic fluorescents. Reefkeepers often have two sets of lights, one actinic, one daylight. And they turn the actinics on first in the morning and last at night to simulate sunrise/sunset.

Actinic bulbs can be bought for pretty much any fluorescent fixture. And generally arent any more expensive than daylight bulbs. I use actinic bulbs over my rift lake setups.

Man, I have never heard me described so well before. That is a great way to word my tendencies! :thud:

When I'm going, I can really surprise myself with how much I can get done (and how well), but when things slow down, UH-OH!

If I had the money to throw at a tank I would so drop it on a bowfront stainless oceanic, FANTASTIC LOOKING SETUP! you get one of those and as plasma tv in the same room, your good to go!

does anybody know what the stand and canopy is made out of on this Oceanic stainless steel setup?

how is the quality of the Oceanic stands and Tanks compared to the competition?

I just don't know if it's worth the money

I am looking at about $700 for the 72g combo and $500 for the 46g combo

who in here owns one currently that can answer this guys questions as a owner?
