In april i am bying a 15gal tank with ALL the material. I would like to put:
-1 Dwarf Gourami
-6 Harlequin Rasboras
-4 corys

Em i overcrowded?
Do i need more corys?
Whats the difference between a Dwarf Gourami and a Gourami?
All kinds of suggestion is apreciated.
Thanx!
:D

No, that wouldn't be overcrowded, though I would caution against putting in more fish. Try to get the same species of cory since they will interact more with their own type. 4 will be fine.

Difference between a dwarf gourami and a gourami is that dwarf is smaller. About 2 inches maximum. There types of gouramies that grow larger like blue, pearl, kissing, etc. that grow much larger.

Also, try to get pygmy cories. They stay smaller, look cuter (in my opinion) and fare better in smaller tanks.

So it's better if I take pygmy cories?
Do we spell it cory or corie?

I would say most definitely to get pygmy cories. As for how to spell it, we all know what you mean. If it is singular I suppose Cory is fine. Plural, most folks make it cories. If you want to get technical, it's Corydoras.

Thanx a lot

Your welcome. :)

Definetely try to get pgmy, as they are only 1.5 inch max, rather than 2.5 of most other corydoras. If you can't find pgmy, pandas are around the same size. Skunks are also smaller, with a max of 2 inches.

I was wandering.........
Will the dwarf gourami feel lonely because he will be the only gourami in the tank?
