hi
i want t make a shoal of mixed cories
but i don know what's the max i can put whithout overstcking
i have an aquaclear 150
mostly fake plants (getting a water lettuce)
i was thinking something like
2 skunks
2 julii
2 albino aneus
1 green
1 pepper
is 8 too much?

will that be the only fish in the tank? Also some corys can be particluar to their own kind IME, so you might consider only getting 3 or so of 3-4 different kinds. My julis won't school with my albino/green corys for example. However, my one albino cory hangs out with my 4 green corys and they accept him as one of their own!!

posibly some emperor tetras.Does this answer your question :) :) :) ?

Hmmm... The species profile on this site for a clown pleco recommends at least 25 gallons for one, and it says they like a big enough tank where they can stake out territory so you might want to consider just getting one. And I am not familiar with apistos? Common name?

common name dwarf cichlid (im not sure which genus yet)6-7 cms

Assuming you got 2 dwarfs, only one pleco and 6 or so tetras, you could probably get away with 6 or so corys, but you might not have luck mixing a bunch of different ones. Maybe 3 each of two of your favorite kinds? I am not really familiar with the other fish that you want though, so I might not be the best judge, I'm suprised you haven't gotten more responses to this :( . Maybe you could try to ask in the general freshwater section, you'll probably get more advice than you ever wanted  !!!

clown plecs get to be about 4" long, and that takes a couple years to do. mine right now is approximatly 1 3/4" and has been that size since i got it. one of the shyest fish i have, she hides in a pot, and rarely comes out during the day.

I've had a clown pleco for five years and she's still only about three inches long. She lives in a 10 gallon with my guppies and is doing fine.

A note about them, though - they don't seem like the best algae eaters. Mine, at least, is way too lazy to suck on the glass.

I know people like to have many different breeds of cory. and if your tank was a still life, then that would look cool. but I think that in reality having enough of one type of cory makes for a much more interesting tank, as corys only really come into their own when they have the confidence to play and forrage. If there's not enough of a group to foster this confidence they just sit around.
It's loads more fun to watch them play and skitter about in packs.

I had 2 young sterbai who were real cute, but i hardly saw them as they'd hide if they knew i was about. I got 4 more and gradually the new 4 would bring the other 2 out. And now I have 6 happy active sterbais who dont mind if i'm sat next to the tank watching them or not.
