Hi i have two african dwarf frogs and i am going to go to nevada for the summer. I will travel from alaska to there. Is it bad for them to go so high in the air, and how much would it cost to take them as a carry on. I want to put them into a resealable bag and in a countainer. My question is how much is it going to cost becuase i'll be gone like two months. thanks for any help.

no i dont think it will harm them because the plane is presurized from 6,000-8,000 feet (like having frogs in switzerland) but like kasakato says,,,,,can you take them with you?

I think so. I will take them some way. But alaskaair says to put them in a plastic bag in a non-leakable container and they dont really say if i can take it as a carry on or if theres a fine. I will call customer servie and ask later. So what happends when they use all the oxygen in their bag?

If they dont let me take it as a carry on then it will cost $70.00 for them to take it. I can just get one of those critter things tahst big enough for them to be comfy but small enough to fit under the seat. Maybe they'll let me take them as a carry on becuase some lady took her little dog in like a small dog bag. Do i need to take my frogs to a vet first or do they only need health things for none water animals??

well if they are carry-on, open the bag for a while in the plane ,,if its going down with the suitcases,,,well,,,, i dont think u can do much ,,becuase, there are some sections of the aircraft baggage hold that are not pressurized so most likely if in a bag ,,it might expand and break,,if in a jar,,etc.. the air inside will be like a vacumm and most likely harm the frogs,,remember unpressurized at 30,000 feet sucks the air right out of your lungs ,,,,so just go for carry-on or ask them to send it in the dogs section[no jokes,, there is a dogs section that is pressurized and heated]
