bought them as juvenile 3 months ago, they were about 1.5 inch. now they are about 3 inch. i just know 2 of them are eletric blue, and 2 of them are Ahli (is Ahli = electric blue?), and one of them is from taiwan strait. it's kind of embarrassing that i don't know what kind of fish i keep.

i think this is Ahli (male)

although i don't know what kind of fish they are, but when I bought them from a guy from local fish club, i did asked him more than 5 times if they can safely stay together with other fish i purchased at that time, so don't think i am not a reponsible fish keeper.

These are all juvenile peacocks. They will be pretty when they grow up. it is hard to call them what they are now. Most will likely be Friedbergi's. :)

I agree

Well one thing it is spelled Freibergi. There is no d in it.

The scientific name is Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi
Common names are Jakes, Malawi Butterfly, and Mamalela Peacock

Just to let you know there are different color variants. Some have yellow fins and the bars don't show as much and others have blue fins with very distinct bars showing.
