:help: undefinedI am a new (1year) fish keeper. I have guppies and platys and 2 loaches. I have had an ongoing problem with, I think are, anchor worms and now i see things attached to a couple of fish fins. I've been treating them with medicine and hate continuing to do so because it's obvious they do not like it. I'm scared of losing all my fish. 1 platy lost his skin, so i euthanized him. I'm reading so much on the internet and i'm getting conflicting ideas. Please help me to sort out the problem. Thanks.

Try FLUBENDAZOLE- do a google for it- good stuff.

Can use potassium permanginate but be careful if you do.

Maybe Anchor Away by Jungle.

Question re meds for parasites

Thanks for responding to my dilemma about parasites. I have been treating them on and off for 2-4 months. My questions is , what drug is in Jungle "Parasite Clear". I may not be able to find that particular brand of the product. Can you give advice about how long to treat them and am I supposed to take the carbon filter first. Should I do a water change before trying new medication? Thanks in advance.

parasite clear active ingredients (exactly whats on the box)

praziquantel; N-[[(4-Chlorophenyl)amino]carbon 1]-2, 6-difluorobenzamide; metronidazole; acriflavine

I have no idea what that means, its all gibberish to me.

Remove carbon.
Add 1 tablet per 10 gallons of water (it comes with 8 tablets). I used 1/2 dose for my bichirs and it worked fine. All body flukes were gone within 24 hours.
