Its the first time i have experienced it, and while it is sad to watch, its also very interesting. Anyways, as i mentioned in another thread, i pulled out my water sprite which was growing insanely fast and making for way to much maintanance, and so i replaced one half side of the background with about 7-8 Cryptocoryne crispatula var. balansae. Well, unfortantely the batch i got this time (had two in my tank from the past), had been sitting in the store tank for well over a month, so im assuming it had settled in there. Apon bringing it home, the begain to disolve just the other day or the next day after i had purchased them. This morning, they had all pretty much saged over, and are rotting away on the gravel. What id like to know is...........
1. Will they ALL grow back?
2. If so, how long will it take?
3. Should i gravel vac out the dead disolved leaves?
Thanks guys!
Edit:
Forgot my tank parameters......
72 gallon bow front.
3 inch bed of gravel mixed with flourite.
260 watts of PC lighting
Pressurized C02 kept around 30-35 ppm
Daily fertilization of N-P-K, and micros
Nitrates around 10ppm, Phosphates around .5-1ppm
