female guppy had babies, not tail is torn up

After the female had its babies, i noticed its tail is very torn and chewed up. What happened?
 
If there's more males than females in the tanks then she's probably getting it from all sides. You need to have more females so they can get some respite once in a while from the fellas. Those guys don't give a lady a break just 'cos she's pregnant. Their the horniest things on gods earth. Put rabbits to shame even! :D
 
it will be once those comets grow to full size- they may get stunted and not live out their full lifespan in a small tank. goldfish get pretty big, 6 inches plus, thats why they are a common pond fish. you could always trade them in for something fun that will work out in a twenty- cories, tetras, whatever you do, good luck!
