anyone know much about hermit crabs. ive been looking information on the net and it seems like there isnt that much to know about keeping them. anyone have any input on keeping them?

I've had some for about a year. The best general information site I've found is http://www.hermit-crabs.com There is a very good yahoo group called "hermies" with an active forum. Most of the hermit crabs sold now in the U.S. are Ecuadorian crabs. They require both a salt water and a freshwater dish. I like 'em, but they are nocturnal, and won't come out until lights are out.
