i got 6 fry, 3 big, 3 small. one of the 3 big ones has black stripes forming on it while the other 2 big ones are still all white! is this just how they are, or is it something i need to know about?

It's not unusual for fry to develop color at odd rates for many fish. The sailfin mollies I raise are often grayish when born, but turn jet black by 3/4 inch.

platy fry. the parents are blue tuxedo platies. the dad is black sided with blue and redish-brown, and the mom has black sides with blue on the top of the sides. but i doubt they're albino, since albinos have pink eyes and mine have black eyes.
