ok heres what i got in my 10 gal.
3 glolight tetra
2 blue tux platy
3 gold wag swordtail
2 guppy
1 red wag platy
the red wag platy female is lonely, so i was wondering, could i buy a male red wag platy and see if the 2 pair up? the other 2 platies are together, so it would be nice to see that goldy(red wag platy female) has a boyfriend. :bday:

Chances are that your male blue tux platy has "gotten together" with any female platy in your tank. Heck, even your swordtail could get with a platy female since they very easily hybridize.

I'd say that you don't need to worry about getting another male platy. You seem a bit overstocked at the moment anyway and you're going to have to start worrying about what to do with the platy and swordtail babies that you'll have swimming around soon.

Also platies, swords, guppies, and most other livebearers like a male to female ratio of at least 1:2. Another male platy wouldn't be a welcome addition for the male that's already there.
