My aquarium set up, is it ok ?

Hello all I'm new to the salty side, but the more I read here the more I hope I'm doing everything ok and my tank is ok.

My set up.....
MarineLand 29gl kit.
Eclipse 3 bio-wheel,
marineland 200watt heater

I have 20lbs live rock and 10 lbs base. with a 3 inch sand base.

I have...
2 skunk cleaner shrimp
4 scarlet crabs
13 astea snails
1 thorny orange starfish
1 sand shifting star
1 emerald crab
2 green chromis
2 tank raised false percula clowns
1 yellow tang
all fish are small 1 inch sized except tand he's about 2 inches.

We are upgrading two a 90gal for our christmas present to each other this coming winter.

Will those fish be ok until then ?

It has been up and running for 7 weeks now.

I tried cycleing with Bio-spira ran with the chormis and LR for two weeks then added the clowns ran another week then added the tang last week,
but added Stability everyday for 2 weeks as I added the clowns and tang.

I had zero amm/nitrites while for 3 three weeks until last week when I added the tang, now amm stays about .25 ???? but 0 nitrites.
Since amm came up I have done 10-15% water changes every other day. (last 7 days)
I had a brown algea bloom on week 4 for a week and for the last two weeks I have been getting green algea on the glass and a little red on the sand.
I feed twice daily a couple Prime Reef flakes in the morning and some small (about three bites per fish) of frozen fourmula one in the afternoon.
Plus keep a little green seaweek on clip for tang.

ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated !

At the start of all salt water aquariums, there is alot of algea due to the nutrient in the water. I am currently 3 months into my tank and I have almost completley gone through the brown algea stage and I am currently batteling the green hair algea stage. As soon as you get something in there that eats the algea it goes away, or so I am told, so when I buy my foxface on saturday, I am hoping for the best. I envie you and your yellow tang, in australia they are about 150 au. too much for a fish. If they are small, and you are moving them soon, it should be ok, if they are happy and if you do water changes frequently/as much as needed, then I think it should be ok. Also, think about the fact that the smaller the tank, the harder it is too take care off, it is also cruel to have 2 fish in that size tank, it is too small.

Looks like a pretty heavy load for a 29. That may be the reson for the ammonia. Another possibility is that it really is zero, but looks like 0.25 on the chart. Aquarium Pharmaceuticals' kit is particularly bad that way. What does freshly-mixed SW look like?
