My tank has been up and running as a FOWLR for about a month now, and I decided to upgrade the lighting so that in the near future we can possible start adding some "easy" corals (easy being a relative term).

I replaced the 40W NO fluorescent with a 2 x 65W 10,000K and Blue Actinic setup and am starting to see new growth from out of no where. There is some red (not cyano, although that is growing as well) hair like algae growing on one of the rocks (that I forgot to take a picture of) and then there is some green "leafy" type stuff growing off several rocks (as seen below). Does anyone have any idea what this stuff is?

I have done quite a bit of reading and searching and have not come across it yet. My Lawn mower Blenny and snails just seem to ignore the fact that it exists, so it really has me curious.

Thanks for the quick response! Nope, no runners. Before I added the PC lighting, there was a decent amount or purple "sticks" sticking out from the rock. These "sticks" are now sprouting stems and leaves and turning into what you see here.
