I really like the rock and they way you have it arranged. Did you pad the bottom with anything prior to your setup? I have some cichlids (angels & rams) but no tank specific for them. I love the many different colors!

I got this tank from my grandad, who can't look after the tank right now as he's quite ill!!
He did add a layer of very broken up ocean rock, below the gravel!!!
The colour in the rock's, as it was VERY white, is just age and the addition of lot's of Ocean and Rainbow i added just today!!!

The Colour REALLY doesn't stand out here!! Everything is so much brighter!!......Especially the fish, who look quite dull and the water look's a little cloudy!!

I don't have a Digi Cam.....never thought it about it till now, so i got a loan of one to get an opinion on how the tank is!!
But.as i said it look's quite dull!!!
The water is Crystal clear, and the fish are so much brighter..especially my Moorii, she's gorgeous!!

I need a CAM!!!!
Any suggestion's on that front would help to........lol.

I think you grandfather is lucky. My mother's parents were from somewhere south of Glasgow. The tank looks great. I bet you make him feel better. Keep it up.

I'm trying!!
He's in The latter stage's of dementia now, but, he remember's me helping him with his fish, so right now anything help's!!

He can't seem to remember anything, apart from the odd thing, but, when it come's to these, he seem's to have a little grin on his face and remember's my name (He started me with them), and a couple of the fish!!

He shouted at me today because he said i hadn't fed them, I had but, i told him i did, just before he came, and he said i was his little star!!!

;)

lol....he's ill, but, his humour is so intact!!!

He told me off 10 minute's after that...for feeding the Moorii too much.......lol.....made me laught, smile and cry at the samr time!!!
What's the odd's!!!

My mum is from the south of Glasgow!!! :D

That tank is gorgeous and exactly the type of thing I want to do, although maybe smaller. I love the bubble wall!!!

I know what you are going through with your grandfather, my grandmother had that too. Its tough but you know they love you and they know you love them and that's all that matters.

Hey! I tried to PM you but your box is full :p

Sorry its taken me a while to reply, ive been very busy lately. Its nice weather and im packing for a trip so i dont have much time on the net.

Anyways, your tank looks great! I bet your cichlids really like it :). It does look a little crammed though.... that might just be the picture. Some of the fish you have are 'open water' and some are 'rock dwellers', so you want to work the tank around both types. Make sure the rockwork is secure and the cichlids cant dig the gravel out and collapse the rockwork.

Other than that... it looks great.
:)
