My title says it all but i'll restate

My rams bread and I moved them to my qt tank. Then They ate the fungus covered eggs. left the other ones alone. But the question is will they get sick from this. I did give the eggs and tank some fungus treatment but im still worried. Now I dont think i should put them back in till I qt them?

they'll be fine..its totally natural for fish to eat unfertilized eggs. Dont panic about the eggs..could be a juvie pair and the males not up to snuff yet or they are just getting into the swing of things. Let nature take its course and dont dose your tank with a ton of unneeded meds.

I imagine this is nature's way of preventing the fungus from spreading to other eggs. If the behaviour comes naturally to the parent fish, it's probably not going to hurt them.

Wont hurt them at all....that's one of the reasons it's good to hatch the eggs with mom and dad watching over them. Otherwise you would have to remove the bad eggs yourself and probably loose some good ones in the process.

Mom and dad are usually pretty good at taking care of the eggs..unless of course they eat them, which does happen sometimes. I just came home from vacation and found that my rams had bred again and I have a bunch of little babies swimming around the bottom of my tank..lol..of course I haven't yet found homes for the 75 or so 8 week old babies from their LAST encounter !
