I need a little help on picking out a good fish or invertebrate that will "clean" my substrate. I would like one that is relatively hardy, and passive. All other tank mates are passive and there hopefully should not be a problem with aggrassive behavior to the family member.

Thanks for ya'lls help
Matt

basically, it all depends on the fish you already have in there. The best that I can think of is a lawn mower blenny, they are superb. You could also try a sand sifting goby or maby like a worm or something. The bad thing with worms is that they look really gross.

heyguyswaitforme, It depends on how big your tank is and what you want to keep. IMO, go for narcissus snails they will get deposits out of your sand bed and keep the bottom well stired. IMO you get a lot more bang for your buck with inverts you might also consider a tiger tail cuke if your tanks big enough and they are regulars sand cleaners. Add as much variety to your infaunal life as you can very few reefers out there would object to you getting a cup of sand out of thier tanks. I give them away all the time :).
