Nitrites not going up in a shrimp cycle.. What can i do to stimulate the nitrites.. ammonia levels stuck at 4.0 been over a week shrimp almost fully decayed

Are you running a carbon pack in a filter? If so remove it

What are your ammonia readings at? how much l.r. do you have etc? I wouldn't think the carbon filter would have very much affect. I'd suspect a faulty test kit or, not enough time for the bacteria to establish. It can take up to 8 weeks to finish a cycle. : The wait is worth it.
