One of my blue rams seems to be acting as if it is sick. Satarday morning I noticed the 3rd ray of its dorsal fin was split or ripped away from the rest of his fin. Last evening I noticed a tiny spot on his tail that appears to be slightly raised and have a 1mm in lenghth string hanging from it. When I fed yesterday it did eat. For the most part last evening and this morning it just seems to be hanging below the water level. Gill movement may be a little more rapid than the other ram I have. Color is good. I have added salt to my water in increments and am up to 1/2teaspoon per gallon. Water tests are
Ammonia~0
Nitrite~0
Nitrate~10
PH~7.2
GH~40
KH~60
Temp~78
Tank is a 55g that was fishless cycled and has had fish in it for not quite 3 weeks. Everyone else appears to be fine so far. Tankmates are danios, white clouds, black phantom tetras, platys, pepper corys, 2 juvenille ID sharks, otos and a male betta.Sorry for the long post but I tried to give as much info as possible. Also I do 25% water change every 3 days.
