Didn't something like this happen in FLorida once? At least the British had some info in their article with someone with a clue about it's dissappearance.
Maybe the little old lady had a bit much vitamin V when they interviewed her.

Louisiana. Lake Peigneur. Texaco drilled down to test for oil and accidentally drilled into a salt mine. I wish someone could find a video of that, Ive seen it before on the history channel, one of the most amazing things Ive ever seen.
