Is it okay to place the mushroom i bought on the DSB??? or would it be better for it to sit on the LR

It's ok, I confuse my students too.
On the LR. Shrooms can't affix themselves to the sand, so any good current will blow it around if it isn't placed on something firm.
As long as the mushrooms you bought are on the rocks then yes, it's fine. Otherwise, like boogie says, it will never attach to something heavy enough to keep it weighted down.
