Does anyone know how you tell if your Albino cories are Aeneus (Bronze) or Green (I think that's the other species albinos tend to be)?

I've got 3 female Albinos and 2 male Bronze, and the two types don't mix very much. And since my only male albino died I've seen no eggs laid. I'm not actively creating breeding conditions so would'nt expect too many eggs, but I usually get some anyway.

From what I can tell my corys or Aeneus there a dark dark green on there sides, with a bronze strip on there back that goes from there nose to tail.

Sorry Hawkeye. I probably did'nt make myself clear. What your talking about is a regular Auneus. I'm on about telling an Albino Auneus from an Albino Green.

I thought the albinos were made from the Corydoras Aenus variety and palateus, or common name peppered?

Albinos are almost always Aneus. Once and a while you'll find some of the peppereds that are albinos, and occassionally there are Sterbais available that are albino, but the Aneus are the cheapest and easiest ones to spawn.

I think that the Aenus abinos are more stockier and have a prominent green sheen to them. An albino cory's body should look like the body of the species it was made from.
