Fish

Yeah I know the basic area after searching for the day before I posted I was hoping for a common name but I’m seeing more that this guy is kind of a generic I don’t plan on keeping him he getting pushed around allot by my convicts tho he does deserve it for trying to take over there cave stupid fish

anyone in the seattle area want a free fish ? :D

No, not a borelyi for sure. Based on common cichlids found in those mixed tanks, I'm gonna go with a Maylandia greshakei. It could also be a hybrid.

They usually get pretty tough when older (yours looks pretty young). I wouldnt mix africans and convicts anyways (or that black skirt tetra... yikes!), so taking him back to the pet store is probebly a pretty good idea.

If you picked this mbuna out of the mixed tank then it probably is a hybrid. Is it a juvenile? If so I would take LuvMyKribs ID into strong consideration, LuvMyKribs is pretty good and accurate at identifying africans.

Fish

Yeah its still young i dont really want to take it back to petco its one of about 30 of the same size all in a 20 gallon tank so ill just find some one with a 30 gal that only want 1-2 fish

It is african. I almost know them all. This one maybe a hybrid. I have not seen one like it. Too bad, I am in LA, otherwise I would have taken him. :)
