Hi all

I have a 26 gallon (120 Litre) tank with a BluPower 350l/h and a Fluval 1+ (200l/h) powerhead/pump. These two are currently at one end of the tank. I now have the following powerheads to add :- Interpet PH4 (1000l/h), Maxijet 500 (580l/h) and a Juwel 204 (400l/h). I am thinking that I will keep one of these out of the tank for mixing my salt water (probably the fluval) and then putting the most if not all of the others in the tank. Please can someone advise me where is the best place to locate these powerheads and for a FOWLR setup is 20x too much? I've read that 7-10x is a good water flow but I've also read that there is no such thing as too much!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

Depends on what fish you have. I like ot put a powerhead about every 2 feet--but that's in bigger tanks. In a smaller setup, I'd just start out with them evenly distrributed, and then move them around (and up and down) as you see the current and flow that develops.

Also if you have some fish from areas with pretty high flows you might want to sort of point a few of them at each other. That will give you an area with some extra turbulence. We do need to know what you want to keep though .
