What I did with mine was snip off the dead parts of the plant. I don't know if I did it right. All I know is that its better to get rid of the dying parts cause it only add more waste to the water.
:hang:

Yea you want to remove the dead leaves. Just snip them off. Malaysian trumpet snails and ammano shrimp are useful for tidying up dead leaves in the tank if you end up going with a lot of plants. But yea, when you buy a new plant remove the dead leaves first.

eh, im scared that the clownloaches gonna eat the shrimps and snails...i will be getting alot of snails tho so my tank looks more natrual and for my clownloaches to snack on.

But i been snipping off the dead leaves ever since, just checking if i was doing anything wrong thanks tho guys.

Thanks

Soon to come 29gal :)

above and below

Most swords in stores are grown above the water, when they are put below water they have to grow new leaves. The plant will withdraw nutrients fromthe old leaves to help grow the new ones, so wiat until the leaf is really done before you clip it, leave the yellow ones alone. New leaves will be narrower and not as stiff.
