What to feed Pictus?

Our new Pictus seems to be doing well. The couple of ich spots we found are dissappearing and he is active and doesn't seem in distress. His tankmate is an 8" Oscar who surprisingly enough seems to be ignoring the new guy (after the initial nips the first day of course). My question is what to feed the pictus. Currently we feed the Oscar Hikari Gold large pellets (floating). I figured the pictus would eat Huney's left-overs, but frankly she doesn't leave any pellets behind. We usually toss 5 or so in every evening and she gobbles every last one up. So nothing ever makes it to the bottom of the tank for the pcitus. I am going to buy some sort of sinking food for it today, but am not real sure what to get. Any suggestions?

Feeding

I have 3 in my tank and feed them a variety of different things. Ill sink down standard flakes, blood worms, shrimp pellets, and sinking catfish pellets. Keep in mind that these fish generally aren’t too active during the day and feed at night when the room has went almost completely dark. You might want to feed right before you go to bed.

shrimp pellets usually sink pretty fast

I just bought some shrimp pellets for the guy, so I will try those tonight before bed. How fast do Pictus grow? I read that they get to be around 5" at full grown. This one is probably 2-3" right now.

They grow fairly fast, and get to be about 10" full grown. But, they are a fun fish. They usually like company of other pictus, so I'd add a few more if you've got the space...

I've had a pair of Pimelodus pictus in a 55g for about three years now.* They are doing great, and holding at about 6 inches long.

They show enthusiasm over their regular shrimp pellets, but they really go wild over live food like worms!

* Actually, about a year ago, I gave the tank and fish to my brother in law.
