Crossocheilus denisonii aka Flying Fox cousin, Rose-line shark, redlined barb
It's been a long time since I've been here... nice to back. Anyways....
I saw these scissortail-like creatures in 3 different stores last week (30-40 each) I had never seen them before and I loved them! All I had were the names Roseline Shark at two stores and Denisoni barb at one. One of the stores had basic information (cousin to the flying fox), the rest had none. Upon repeat visits, I acquired more information (different staff), but not before looking through books (ok, I only looked in a few) and looking on the web. However, much of the information is conflicting. (also known in some books as Puntius denisonii)
Has anyone kept these yellow with black/white stripes tailed creatures with a red line along their flank from eye to mid flank. Looks like a dead ringer for a flying fox in shape. Are they schoolers? Loners? Timid? Aggressive? Curious? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
